The theme of our latest book is knits that you can wear every day (hence the name Every Day Knits). For non-knitters that means a sweater you will live in from December through February. But for knitters, it means so much more!
Knits aren’t just sweaters. There are amazing patterns and yarns that are year round and not just relegated to cold weather.
One thing that I find myself reaching for all year round is a shawl or oversized wrap. Even in the warm weather…there is something extremely comforting to me about being wrapped up in a piece of knitted fabric.
Beckley by Jill Wright is one of those pieces that is not only extremely wearable, but will go with everything in your closet.
Knit using three colors of Vail or Villa (or a combination of the two), this wrap is knit with a lace pattern that is easy to memorize and quick to knit!
The warmth of the alpaca in Vailand Villa will keep your shoulders and neck warm when fall gets here, while the silkiness of the bamboo will feel amazing next to your bare shoulders over a tank or sundress. It also makes a stylish outwear piece in the winter months.
Beckley would also be stunning in just one color (which also means less ends to weave in, but I digress).
No matter how you choose to make/wear the Beckley, it would be a welcome addition to anyone’s wardrobe!
